At the Valtur Cervinia Cristallo Ski Resort, you can experience all the nuances of the mountains comfortably on skis, thanks to a convenient tapis roulant that connects the resort directly to the ski lifts and slopes, making every descent an instant adventure.
Whatever your ideal holiday is, you will find it here amidst delicious food and wine tours, moments of deep relaxation, excursions, sport and fun.
Cervinia
The resort is located in Cervinia which together with Valtournenche and Zermatt make up a large area with about 350 km of slopes linked by a dense network of lifts.
In Cervinia ski lifts are open every day from mid-October to the beginning of May. A winter that spans autumn and spring, thanks to the high altitudes and the quality of the snow, which is never lacking.
We are at the foot of Cervino Mountain, also known as the Matterhorn, at 2.050 m (6,726 ft). The ski lifts and the town center are only 800 m away (0,49 m). At the top of the Aosta Valley, the compact town centres around a car-free, cobbled street where you can browse the shops and visit streetside cafés.
Ski Area
The Cervina-Valtournenche-Zermatt area is one of the largest in the Alps, with a varied “domaine skiable” beyond compare. The ski area stretches through three valleys in two countries, Italy and Switzerland, from the 3883 m Piccolo Cervino descending to the 1524 m of Valtournenche. The 350 km of ski runs offer the chance to ski all day without ever repeating the same run twice, alternating easier runs with those of increasing difficulty.
Brand new, opening in July 2023, is the slick Alpine Crossing - the highest gondola in Europe linking Testa Grigia in Italy to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in Zermatt. At the top, there’s a 360° viewing platform, a ‘glacier palace’, fine dining, ski slopes, plus hiking and biking trails. With wheelchair access, it’s accessible to everyone.
In the Cervinia-Valtourneche there are 156 km of slopes and 19 ski lifts. The beautiful slopes, close to the resort, as well as predominantly flat terrain on the Plan Maison and wide well-groomed slopes that extend throughout the entire area and are suitable for beginners. Several gentle areas and baby parks entertain little skiers with magic carpets and paths suitable for exercise. For snowboarders, in Plan Maison there is Indian Park. For cross-country skiing lovers there are 3 km of tracks in Cervinia, 4 km loop in Champlève and 6,5 km track in Maen.
